Door ajar chime

This door chime is going to drive me nuts. Anytime I have the door open with the key in it chimes. It is relentless. I want to disable it.
Anyone know of a simple fix before I start to disassemble stuff looking for it.

In what real world scenario are you experiencing this to the point of being driven nuts? Sincere question.

problem is when you remove the key it shuts everything off and you have to turn the key again to activate.
