age of kids in the back seat?

Those of you who use your 911 for an alternate 'family car', what age are the kids that ride back there, how bad is the kicking of the seat backs, and how tall are you (read: how far back is your seat)??

I take my son out now and again - he's 18 mos and it's just me an him so I have him behind the passenger seat which I move forward to avoid the shoes on the seat (or take his shoes off).

The rule of thumb is once your kids hit 1 year you can have them forward so I don't see why that's different in the Porker. Obviously you have to get the right child seat as there are no latch bars and the seatbelt buckle is situated further forward than in a regular car backseat so most conversion child seats won't sit firmly and not move, even with the belt extremely tight. You're gonna have to go with Porsche Britax seat (bend over) - good for 20-40lbs.

Kids up to about 5 feet ( 11-12 years old) can be squeezed back there for trips under 90 minutes . Even those long of leg for that age can splay them to fit... but older kids can't fit because the upright seatback combined with lengthening torsos mean head has to be cocked sideways .
One other even more important thing to consider - if you have quiet kids who can sit for hours reading like I have , it's much easier , as the cosseting rear seats , close and vision obstructing high front seatbacks and high sides are very much like sitting inside a pail , which I presume could cause some attentional- challenged kids to go absolutely bonkers , esp if they are used to riding on other days in big , wide SUVs with picture windows and DVD screens.
The nearby engine and it's resonance off the rear glass can bother some kids , too.

Just have the shoes off and you won't worry about the seat back getting dirty. If you have painted seat back, you may want to think twice about putting anything behind your seats. Kids drop things or throw things. You're better off w a regular seat that any marks just wipe off w a towel.

My girls are 8 and 9 and pretty much in the back seat of my car on a daily basis. They always ask to take the turbo over the SUV so I quess they are not too cramped.

At Summer School I saw an interesting thing. I saw a mom picking up her 2 sons in a carrera cab, but both were about 6-1 (at least they were taller than me 5-11) and one was able to fit in the back with a little trouble. So I guess it really depends on if the passenger feels comfortable or not.

I bring my 3 kids in the car all the time. 12,10 and 6. No scuff marks and no problems, except the 2 older ones fighting over the front seat.

My son is 11 years old, and he fits back there with no real problems. He rides in the back often with no complaints, even when we take the torque monster to my parents...a 3.5 hour trip.

Mine are 3 and 6. I am 5'9 and don't have any issues with my boys back there.

I'm with Stephen, mine are 2 and 5, and they beg for the 'Porsche Turbo' asking for it by name. The ride to day care starts the day with a smile for all of us. The Ipod plays kids tunes in their just fine, but Reus Audio needs to help me out someday.

Oh...and sport seats unpainted clean up easy, but take the shoes off.
