Crusin' down the blvd....

I'm cruising down the main drag last night at dusk, and not much traffic around.

Motorcycle left and back one slot. SUV beside me to the left. Volvo ahead of me. Caddy behind the bike.

We pull away from the light, and DAYAMMMMM....

There's a noticeable rumble coming from somewhere, and it ain't that bike. The bike pulls away quickly. This rumble is definitely a car, and I can hear gear shifting going on. What I can't figure out is where the hell is it and why does that rumble sound so good? It's not expected based on the population around me.

At the next light, a shuffle, and the caddy is beside me. I notice he's got BREMBO's and I take notice. Four pipes in the rear, and his brake lights are off - yep, he's rockin and sockin in neutral at the light.

And sure as hell, we take off, and that caddy sound absolutely throaty, deep and strong. I was in shock!

We had a caddy when the babies were in car seats (minivan now), I drive the C4S daily, but this caddy - what an awesome sounding beast.

I know, I know, it doesn't deliver the fun factor like the Porsche. CTS-V - anyone driven one yet?

Wow. I was truly shocked.

CTS-V's are cool....LS2 motor, easily modded. you probably ran into a guy with a full exhaust with long tubes and maybe a cam. They can be fast, but have terrible axel hop. They do handle very well, probably as well as a standard C2 and brake very well too.

The V is a blast, however as mentioned it has a weak rear end. That kind of scared me away and into the 300C SRT-8...now only if they could get the color right

When shopping sedans for myself I test drove one. My dad was with me and he decided to drive it also. He ended up getting one and I thought it reminded me alot of my M5. It doesn't rumble stock but is a very nice ride.

sure there was 4?

stock and most of the popular catbacks still just have 2 tips to fit the slots in the rear bumper. seems like it would look strange squeezing 2 on each side

Yep, he had quads. Maybe aftermarket.

And yes, gray hair and pot belly too! Perfect for Caddy.
