996 Turbo 19" Rims

Hi, i am looking at getting these Roderick rw5 wheels for my 2000 Porsche 911 996 turbo, and was wondering if anyone has any advice about them, if they fit ok and what sizes, offsets or anything else I need to fit them properly. Http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=290915887901

Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

That auction says 4 wheels... all at 8.5" width. That will look quite awkward on a 996TT as the rears should be at least 10.5" or wider.

Thanks for the reply. The same seller has a staggered set http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...d=400487973837 with 11" rears. Will these fit without modification or spacers?
Thanks!

in the new link you posted...it says rear offset 52mm. you would need spacers.

Would he need a 7mm spacer?

Bugger! So it sounds like the roderick rw5 rims are probably not the best choice for a 996 turbo?

I see a set of rw5 on ebay with offset 45mm front and 40mm rear, those would work nicely on our 996 wb.

Hi, so my new rims have finally arrived - now need to arrange tyres for them. I spoke to one place who said 235x35x19's and 295x30x19's would fit ok, however another place said the rears that size would be a problem. Can someone tell me what size tyres would be suitable without any rubbing, guard rolling, etc! Thanks for the advice, Matt

You should probably go with 305 25 19 in the rear to keep the rolling diameter correct.

And 235x35x19 at the front? Is anyone actually running this on 19's who can confirm this will fit my 2001 911 turbo?

I have to correct myself. These are the tires I am running and what many searches on the forum have suggested as being the best on 19 inch wheels for our cars. They have performed perfectly so far.

Im referring to the size, not the brand. The Toyos don't seem very popular.

there are lots of threads on this. Here is a link to a well discussed thread below. I'm running 19" Champion RG5B with Toyo Proxes 315/25/19 rear and Micheline PS2 235/35/19 and they work great. Not many options though in the 315/25/19 tiryes though. There are other combinations that can get close but this combo has the closest rolling diameter that fit without having to do anything.
