ECU Flashing Issue - Any thoughts?
I flashed it back to the stock setting on the GIAC flasher before i sent it to Markski. However, the stock setting on the flasher wasn't a "stock" map, it was a modified stock map.
Even if it were flashed back to stock, I don't think it would help.
GIAC says that once you bench flash it, their tune is gone. However, I don't think they are very forthcoming. There are probably other things done that they will not disclose or mention.
I have limited options, especially for a dual-map tune that I want to toggle between.

I think your misunderstanding things, I did not see him saying they were tampering as a put down.
I am not being negative or derogatory with that statement, I believe you're misunderstanding me.
Stock mode still leaves a complete GIAC flash in the car. The car would physically need to be flashed back to stock to remove all of our code.
I did use the handheld to go to "stock" mode.
Listen, gents. I want to state, again, that this is an issue related to my vehicle and situation.
This is not a who tampered with what or abc is better than xyz. Some people can easily misinterpret, I do not think it was GIAC's intention to use tampering in a negative manner. In fact, anyone that decides to pull apart an ECU whether it be GIAC, 911tuning, Protomotive, etc. is in fact "tampering" with the ECU. That doesn't mean they don't know what they're doing.
I don't want this thread to be a pissing contest. I have received a level of customer service from Markski that is unheard of. I txt him dozens of times a week and I get answers to all sorts of things. I've spent hours with him on the phone and he's walked me through various steps and processing involving setup, installation, tuning, etc.
I've also worked with Giac, mostly via e-mail. Their staff has always been quick to respond and answer questions that I had.
With that in mind, my experience has granted that you can't go wrong with either tuner.
I plan to send my DME to giac to have them give me a complete "STOCK" flash; afterward, I will consider options.
Thanks for the input! I'll post when I have some news.

^^^ OP great comment. I had thought it was not flashed back to DME Stock hence the problem. I had similar problem recently between two different company's flash and it took time flash back to stock before switching.
