Any luck talking to Hans at RAC? I'm sure they could help even if you buy a reman engine.

You might also check with Oklahoma Foreign to see if they have any used TT engines - they do a lot of Porsche scrap.

Yes,
Talked to Hans. Found motor with 30k on the clock out of OK, will probably pull the trigger. I know RAC has a stellar rep and Hans was super quick helping me out. The previous owner used RAC for all his service work so Hans knows the car.

I'm in the burbs out in Flower Mound. I've had a lot of stuff done by RAC and have always been happy. Fingers crossed that the problem is not as bad as the dealer said.

Sorry about your engine, what a nightmare. Did you have any clues, that in hindsight may have hinted that something was going wrong? Or was it just something that let go, totally unexpectedly?

Car never ran better. The past few days leading up to the end the car seemed to have more torque according to my butt dyno. Was caught totally off guard.

Just a thought for you. This had nothing to do with the PO if you enjoyed 37K on it. This is a very rare failure. I am SO glad you stayed away from MM. A stellar example of how some companies manage to stay in business in spite of screwing customers.

You can probably sell a LOT of engine parts right here on 6speed unless you get a decent price for the remaining good bits. I suspect there are a lot of useable parts. If I didn't have 4 engines wondering what to do with themselves i would be asking you more directly. Good luck. Been there.

I don't have a ton if advice for your issue unfortunately.

I do have two shops I trust but I wouldn't have them put a motor together. However I'm sure they could swap a motor.
