Need help w/electrical problem

A second new alternator will only discharge 12.9 volts, and it should be at 13.9 or so.

The battery is okay.

Any ideas on where the alternator might be losing that volt? And how to fix it?

Thanks in advance and don't think me rude for not responding, my account won't allow it yet.

First things first...check the output of the alternator at it's sorse. No sense in looking further until you confirm it is putting out.

Check the voltage at the battery with a hand held volt meter. Turn off the A/C, and then check the voltage at idle. It should be over 13v. With the A/C on the voltage drops below 13 on my car. What you're seeing may be normal.
