I have an 05 Turbo S and looking for better low end torque while maintaining hp. Have a Tubi exhaust, New hoses and diverter valves as well as a tune. Looking to change the turbochargers themselves, any suggestions? K16 Billets? Alpha 28?

 

K16 Billets have been a hit.

 

Basic tune . Step one.

 

Either one will do it,,A28 is a better performer though..
I would ditch that Tubi exhaust or at least take those 200 cell cats off to help ..

 

Basic tune is already done. Plenty of top end HP and pulls great from 60-100. Looking for more immediate response.

So A28 will give equivalent boost response to K16 Billet? How about the Agency Power titanium exhaust as a replacement for the Tubi?

 

Just as long as you don't run 200 cell cats..
You need 100 cell cats or if you can deal with catless..

the 24's are always gonna lag, unless you're always on the pipe, and who CAN be when on the street!? i think the best compromise for you and achieving that "instant on" we all crave/need might be either the 16/24 old school hybrids which i have and LOVE from sambott.. or billet 16's. though many say a28s are right there as well. either will give ya what ya need without sacrificing the top end of the 24's. methinks.

 

They will if not better. Cat-less exhaust is key. If youre not looking for big number up top K16 billet the way to go. Clutch will very likely be required with A28s.
