PSM/ABS Light
looks like their price has gone down a bit $42.00 & free s&h? i suppose one could buy the new bosch maf in the box for 200-300. i read that it comes with shiny brown wax paper.
yes. i have purchased two from that dealer. they work exactly as intended. only reason i needed another is i sometimes hit the raised rev limiter which kills mafs.

how can you go wrong? i wouldn't speak on it unless my experiences were favorable.
also.. not for nothin'.. there are VERY reputable tuners that specifically use these refurbs as needed. they shall remain nameless.
the seller is standup too. you'll have it in one day. pls let us know how it works for you.

in fact, maybe it's part of the "new normal"! lol
I cleaned the stock MAF well and put that back in. No lights or sputter now but also not hitting anything past 1 bar. What is the "reset" protocol? It is possible I missed something.
Personally I wouldn't hope for it to work
properly, given that it isnt designed to be "cleaned".
My advice ( for what it's worth? ) Is to clear any/all codes, then install a new or refurbished maf and turn the ignition on for approx one minute until you hear the clicking? ( Tb reset? ) then start the car. Do not press the gas pedal while it's "adapting"
I don't know any more about it than that. But I do believe the new maf needs to adapt to new fuel trims etc.
Again, cleaning the maf and expecting positive results is ( to me anyway ) wishful thinking, and fraught with uncertainty.
All and any talk about the maf is moot given you haven't actually changed it yet. I sure wouldn't count on cleaning it as a solution but some folks have had success with it.

I appreciate everyone's input. This forum has saved me more than once.
i'm sorry it didn't work for you, though i'm still not sure it didn't. lol. it was worth a try. again, my car runs at 1.2 with the refurb maf. zero issues. chalk up another headscratcher

add: also.. if you neglected to reset it when you replaced it ( them ) all bets are off. it matters.
and in an attempt to partially redeem myself lol ( although i feel my advice "might" have helped and that the refurb isn't the "issue" ).. here's the best price on the oem maf i think you will find .. $180.. free S&H

the fact that you didn't boost past 1.0 after messing with these components means nothing, ESP in "city" conditions. my car runs at 1.2 but that doesn't mean in the 1/4 mile i usually have to play with i can see that every time! ya know? although i have offered as much help as i can, i strongly suspect you may have reached the limits of your capability to play with your car and achieve favorable results and there is no shame in that.
if i were you? i'd buy a new bosch maf ( to eliminate that as the cause of your psm/abs wakeup ) and have a mechanic install it, and clear the codes and advise. sorry to say, but it sounds like you have clearly reached your limitation ( unless plugging in a new maf puts you instantly at 1.2 again..lol ) GL with it. it can't be that big a deal. only so much stuff can go south vis a vis mafs,..provided all else is functioning normally.
that may be the $64k question here.
