Getting past the cost of just getting one, the gears are not meant to handle the torque of a turbo motor. There are gear sets available that can however they are costly. You need the engine to cut ignition on up shifts and blip on down shifts so some modding (replacing?) of you ecu is needed.

One of my track buds had installed one on his GT3. Hated it. He was a actually slower with it and the reliability was just not there...

They are costly pieces as said above. Some can handle big power but the price is steep.

Do you want the straight cut gears and sequential?

There are companies that make shifter options for the P cars that work OK?

The thing with straight cut gears and sequential trannies is they are very unforgiving of missed shifts and big big rebuild costs ensue that.

It is really hard to beat a Porsche tranny for many reasons. Hence why so many kit car builders use the Porsche trannies for there set up.
