Orbel have you tried the Hoorier A6's? They warm up faster but downside is no long canyon runs.

whats up Sammy... I have not but thats exactly the reason why I wont, we are typically in the canyons for hour and half or two. For straight drag, I would have used the Mickey Thompsons, but they are horrible on the canyons when your sweeping at 100mph+...

Hi Orbeleo,

nice setup. What specific A28's are you running? 2868/2871/2873?

Mine are sitting in my garage waiting for me having time to wrench - which will happen tomorrow.

They seem to be 993 turbo's aluminium manifolds, prepped like factory 993 GT2 racers' ones.

I think 2873. Not 100%...

I feel you on both counts Orbel. Turbo Mike always tells me how crazy your car is. Then when I say is "it faster than your GT2's latest set-up?" he says "hmmm, well..."

Ofcourse he does, down low I take him, up top after 142mph he start pulling me. His turbos are three times the size of mine and I have about 150lbs of weight on him. Both car are really fast, Mike has done a kick *** job on his car that's still a 3.6 with stock internals... Hats off

I never had an issue with this sh1ty manifold so I saw no reason to change it. Just so were clear, my manifold is a custom 996TT manifold built from aluminum(see pictures). I got this mainfold cause I was hearing a lot of guys blowing motors due to the plastic particles coming off the manifold and ending up in the motor from 100% meth injection and race gas mixture.

I never imagined that the Alpha 28's were going to be capable of making this kind of power, I believe this sets a new record for Alpha 28's. Last I checked this power level is 3076 territory. That being said, I have bottom of the barrel fueling cause that's all that was needed to make 700whp on Alpha 28's, which was the limit all tuners have put on these turbos. But don't worry, I do have a complete fuel system sitting in the garage which is going support 1,200whp

The dip I believe is mainly from wheel spin, however the lean line is cause of fueling...

I appreciate you envying my 996tt... stay tuned for more result.
you didnt say what manifolds you were using , i thought you still had the stock 996 tt manifolds, cause i know todd like to use them for some reason (even on big builds), and ive seen power dip on dynos like yours..

I dont understand why these you have on dip, do they flow that much more ? is the head built or and matched for their flow? i know if you dont have the built head with the big valves etc it can actually hurt power.

as for the fuel system, im running the same inline and i know it runs out of fuel up top on my setup , but i dont chance it . just a matter for few weeks till its corn fed and new system aswell.

i will envy your car when you show me 1000+whp

The manifold is exactly like 996tt stock, the only thing different is aluminum instead of the plastic material... Todd actually likes using the 996GT3 manifold instead, however thats another $3,500+... I do have head work done for better flow... I am going to drop my 1150cc injectors and walbro 450 in for now and see how the afr's react.

Congrats on your new to be setup, what kind of turbos you using...

im using the 997 TT manifolds they tend to flow a little better then the stockers. Yeah i know he likes the gt3Rs manifolds, but he also likes the stock ones used in conjunction of something else right under it i forget what he calls it. i know on coreys (urban hotrod) big build he kept the 996 tt manis.

Im running gt 3076's at the moment, but i have a custom new setup waiting to go on soon everything is complete.

I did a 996TT with the 997TT manifolds with Todd. We liked it. Nice mid range benefits. No cams
