Need help ASAP ! Intake cracked .
Hi all , tomorrow I finally will get my rebuilded trans back , the car is still on the lift , I had a time to do boost leak test , what I found !!!
the driver side of the Intake manifold is cracked ! the one with the blue mark ,
now the questions :
1 where I can get it (didn't found one on esc )
2 can I replace it without pulling the engine out
3 each side has his own part# ?
will appreciate any suggestions , need it as soon is possible .
Thank you !

Wow - just had mine in for various boost leaks, had to replace my intake manifold as well.
Hairline crack, showed up as the area heated up - tough to find. Had to replace the part, about $400 for the part, engine did not need to be dropped. Shop said this was a very rare failure....maybe not!
Also replaced all of my intake manifold sleeves and clamps. I believe you have to be very careful as to how the manifold sleeves are clocked during reinstall.
Good luck.

Uhhh - how is there a huge hole in it?
I forgot to add - My shop said that the manifold part is the same exact one used in NA 996s - so if you were looking to pull a part, you can look at a wider variety of donors - not just Turbos.
