So last week Sharkey calls me and says "Hey man we got a NEW file for the GT2" so I'm like Shiet if I get 1hp from it "IM THERE" so he loads it!!!!!!!! as well as new Billet DV's. When I get to the freeway on-ramp ALL HELL broke loose.

The SOB looses traction in 2nd gear then I get it straighten out whew. I continued to drive about 2 miles (Full-Throttle) then Dam Intercooler Hoses BLEW clean off, I was stuck on the 680 for 1 hour. I proceed to call Porsche roadside (great people BTW) and have me towed back to Sharkwerks.

Alex had a set of Silicone hoses from Evo and we put them in and NOW THE ***** won't boost over .6 BAR, So now it's 10 at night (Saturday) and I'm . So after looking at it for about 20 mins James and Alex said "I've never seen this but one of the billet diverter valves must be bad" . Yup, that was it, Pulled the DV'S and put the stock one's back in and everything is fine .

P.S. Hey Garrett and Todd no more power ok it's costing me to much $$$$

 

Tommy is _hardcore_ and actually deserves credit for driving right back and saying what actualy was wrong with his car. He knew what is was instantly... I've never seen one of these DVs out- EVER but sure enough we open one up and it's not pretty I've run 2 bar on my car as well! But congrats to Tommy for being the first guy to break one lol. You were driving hard on the freeway and boosting hard and then all of a sudden 0.6 bar as one of the DVs just stays open....

OK Tommy, intake and headers next or shall we just go to the Turbos?!

PS At least we know these hoses will take 2bar and 1000hp!

 

How often do NEW files come out for EVO and associated companies? Is Tom's new file a stage 4? Was he running a stage 4 before the new file? How do I know if a new file comes out for my car?

When you climatize, I'm guessing in a couple of weeks, consider:

Aluminum intake tubes / fuel pump / fuel filter / fuel lines / fuel injectors / Garrett Hybrid turbos / modified "y" pipe / larger throttle body.

That will give you a couple of weeks more until you need your next fix.


But seriously, when I first started researching 996TT mods, several tuners, who I can't even remember, stated that as programs were refined, upgrades were available at no cost. Now don't get me wrong, the 700 file seems as close to perfect as I can imagine possible, but I'm sure it's safe to say with further developement, it will be improved over time. (?) What you say Shark-Man???

 

Any files that are made as updates for a 700 kit will of course be free updates Tommy had a 2X program for pump and stock... we just gave him a shot of 100 is all
