Best Sticky Street Tire??

I have been doing some research and looking for "stickier" tires. Street use only.

Currently running Michelin Pilot Sports.

Anyone running some Nitto NT05 or NT01 in the rear?

Dunlop Z1 Star Spec?

You already have probably the best street tire for these cars. For a stickier tire, you could try the Michelin Sport Cups, I drove them on the street, but most places you probably can't get away with that. I live in TX where it's hot so they warm up easy, and it hardly ever rains.

Yokohama AD-08's way more stick then the Michelins and work very well in the rain. I have been super impressed with these things but do not expect much more then 5 or 6000 miles out of the rears. A set of fronts will double the rears for life expectancy.

i drove a car with the AD-08's in march in the hail and rain, then warmed up in mid day on the nurburg ring and was extremely impressed with how they acted in all conditions. I was able to stay in the gas and rail the outside in the rain and pass 5 cars in one corner alone.

they would be a top contender for me for a street tire

Darth GF is infamous around these parts
Another vote for the Neova AD08. That tire is GREAT! It is as grippy as you will ever need on the street.

I had a set and changed them to Sumitomo because I like my tail to be loose, Neovas are too grippy, you need to do real stupid stuff to break them loose on the street. I'd bet they are faster than some track tires out there. The price is good too.

Yes they are the best all round extreme performance street tire out there, I think there wet weather performance sets them well above anything out there. They are not a noisy tire like some of the other tires I have tested. They are on the stiffer side of things when it comes to sidewall flex which is not everyone cup of tea but I prefer there instant feed back and gladly live with the extra bit of small bump harshness.

I find that hard to believe. The AD08's have a tread wear rating of 180. The Michelin Sport Cups are rated 80, ie, a much softer, grippier compound.

AD08's may be stickier than the PS2's, (which are rated 220) but I highly doubt they are grippier than Sport Cups.

At any rate, they don't come in 315/30/18 either, so I'll probably never try them to find out.
