Turbo running 100% perfect after plug change from Tischer Auto

Well, after some aggravation after doing my stage 1, I finally got my Turbo back from Tischer. They were extremely thorough, and got my car back to running like brand new again. They did the spark plug change, and cut me a great price on parts and labor from the original quote. The cars idle even got so much smoother. I guess bringing the tech a bottle of single malt and the service manager a bottle of wine helped... .

I drove the 18 miles this morning to work, and the car pulled like it should, and of course not a single hiccup. They even replaced some interior trim pieces under goodwill, since I am now out of warranty.

So now it is time for some suspension work!

I would go in and ask for Kent Phillips who is the service tech handling all upgrades there, and also talk to Tom Vahle, who is the service manager there at Tischer. I did the stage 1 GIAC with V-flow, and am now 100% happy with the results. I had some spark plug issues, since my Turbo is an 01 with the range 5 plugs, but after they switched them to range 6....damn I am happy with the results. Best of luck. Their number is 301-890-3000.

Oh yea, since they did the work at the dealership, there are no warranty issues to worry about. They are very cool about upgrades, since they are now getting into aftermarket upgrades.

thanks!

I know butt dyno of the upgrade came out well, but are you going to do traditional dyno to get some sort of number? What numbers are you expecting for stage 1 and 2?

I think I'll dyno mine first stock (well sort of stock with Remus exhaust).

I plan on getting the car dynoed soon from Turbo Performance Center. Kent (tech from Tischer) is going to go with me, since he will have to disconnect the front drive shafts. I unfortunately did not dyno the car stock, but from baseline numbers, our Turbo's seem to have a pretty consistant @350hp to the wheels. I hope and expect to see in the low 400's after dynoing her.

How do you like the Remus exhaust? I am thinking about a new exhaust also, since I have the factory OEM GT2 on, and I feel like I need to let her breathe a little better.

Remus sounds great, looks great and is several thousands cheaper ($3-4k vs $1800 i think). But of course, the general consensus of the board is Europipe is the best. Fabspeed mixed results.. some say it gives you a headache. B&B also is iffy. I'm sure there are many threads about this.

Keep us posted on ur mods! Congrats on stage 1.. although I'm sure it's just a starting point. Once you mod, it's hard to stop lol.

What plugs did they use and can you tell me what the model number on the plugs was.

TIA

The plugs were OEM Porsche parts, I think Beru...I wanted the Bosch plugs in, but they did not have any in stock. The Porsche number for these particular plugs are 999-170-195-90. They are heat range 6. Retail was 15.88 a piece... , but since I am PCA member, I got a break on the whole plug change. I think...hmmm...I am satisfied though.
