O ring and not an aluminum crush ring in turbo install
O ring and not an aluminum crush ring in turbo install
So I am in the middle of a long turbo swap with all sorts of fun problems
So, on to my question. I looked at the diagram
http://www.jimellisporscheparts.com/...rimLevel=18178
And order the #10 sealing rings...well there are rubber o-rings between the oil catch/reservoir and the turbo...
Anyone have a part number?

The #10 is the wrong number. The porsche parts catalog image is wrong in that detail.
Went to look at my stock of parts and this is what I got for 900-123-140-30. This crush washer is good for the turbo reservoir drain plug but I am not sure for the sealing between the turbo and the reservoir. Of course rubber in this location seems strange because of the high heat!

Just FYI. Turns out the correct part is number 11 on the parts list but there is no #11 in the diagram.

Good to know, the second 10 should be 11 on the drawing at the drain plug of the reservoir…Thanks!
note, just went to check with the PET and also the latest parts cat from Porsche and the error is still there….

at the drain plug the #10 ist correct. The above #10 should be #11. You don't want to have an o-ring at the drain plug. Its place is between oil reservoir and turbo flange.Andreas
Thanks for the correction!
