Fabspeed Exhaust Restrictive??
SubscribeDo guys with higher horsepower levels find that the Fabspeed exhaust is restrictive?
As suppose to lets say an EBWERKS exhaust?

Also is the EB WERKS exhaust not available anymore?
From what I remember EB werks either stopped making the exhaust for the 996tt or they went under, but don't quote me.
As far as the fabspeed exhaust, a local friend of mine had there setup on his 996TT and the mufflers blew out the baffling about 3x, where he had to send the exhaust back to fabspeed each time for a repacking. At the end of the day, he put a speedtech 3" X-catless exhaust in and his car picked up almost 30whp under the curve just from swapping the exhaust. So def was a worth while change-over.

I wouldn't do straight pipes unless your a sadist. They are ridiculously loud and droney. You would get tired of them fast.
I had five different setups. Best one: speedtech 2.5 xflow. Great noise great flow cool turbo whistle and liveable.

**** sounds ridiculous...
fabspeed is garbage. it really is. absolute trash.
with your goals, i would get a straight pipe or "x" pipe.
for reference, this was my old 996 with an "x" design. no cats. (Built by Tim).. sounded like a gt3 in person .. lots of "howl" and you could ALWAYS hear the turbos whistling ..
i had a fabspeed gen 1 and gen 2 on my 996, then i had the "x type exhaust".
straight pipes sound pretty awful but make the most power..

Took a 2800 mile road trip with straight pipes on my 996TT....it took 2 days for the ringing in my ears to stop after the road trip.....Originally Posted by gearhead

Been saying this for years. Thier customer service is crap as well. At least my experiance anyway. Worst money I have spent on my TT by far!Originally Posted by Steve K ny

Markski and John are both stand up guys who back their products. Can't go wrong with either.
