Painted my rotors-
Painted my calipers
Had a bit of free time over the holidays and have gotten a couple of quotes for painting and have read several if the threads in this but still wanted to give it a try. My car sees a 5-8 track days a year and Is now running slotted rotors, PFC01 F/B and GT2RS air scoops with Motul fluid. I've now got the heat and brake life in check but this has been an issue in the past. My rotors were not in the best of shape when I bought the car as well- might have been an aggressive cleaning agent used in the past. I went with the Dupli-Color Red Caliper kit and will put the new Porsche stickers on in 5 days after the paint cures then will spray it with a VHT Clear Coat. Here is the before- And the after- Hoping these can take a few track days- if not no harm/foul as my car has always been a good 5-footer!!

Now if i could just figure out how to edit my title on the iPhone...
Painting rotors like that actually isn't a problem. Install them make a few stops and the paint is gone on the breaking surface and is on everywhere else. It's ricer for sure but not actually a problem, pads won't be ruined burning off the paint whatsoever.
How did the paint on the calipers get so lumpy looking? Did you brush it on?

Yah they did start off lumpy but all of the reading and vids suggested it would even out. I'd say it is now smoother but not OEM. I fully expect to burn these in the coming track season and just wanted a freshened look that is until I upgrade brake system or car! They say this stuff applies similar to fingernail paint and should end up as smooth. Warm temps when applying will help the flow- which I didn't have. Will apply stickers and clear coat mid week and will snap off another pic.
The Porsche stickers make them pop even more. Have had a few spirited drives over the holidays and all holding up nicely. Won't be on the track for several months but will report back then.
Again no garage queen, but even a pig needs lipstick sometimes!
