guys we are all car guys or we wouldn't be on a forum, but for the op to suggest suing for emotional distress is absurd, and then want a check for a rental he didn't get?? To me he sounds like an unreasonable guy. OP I hope your car gets fixed to your satisfaction but leave the emotional distress lawsuits to the people who have real problems, a car accident with 2 empty cars and no injuries wouldn't make that list.

Wow to the damage, but this could have been avoided. We all prevent casual contact with other cars when we take our pcars to parking lots (the walking is healthy), or even into paid garages (I tip the attendant when I give them the keys). Good luck with the repairs.
Exactly my thinking....

I wonder if you'll park the pcar in the same spot for the delivery next time, with or without snow on the tarmac.

First insurance estimate came in at $14k. Time to dismantle Shadow to see what else has occurred....

That sounds about right as a starting point. There will likely be a list of items that the body shop will come up with. Make sure little things like if there was clear bra protection that is is added on to the estimate. Make sure parts are OE NEW and not used parts. At least in CA, insurance company are allowed to used used parts but it is a hassle for the body shop since they might get a body piece in a different color and often times the section is cut and shipped to them for disassembly for parts.

PM me if you want to compare parts cost since your damage was similar to mine and I got to spec NEW OEM parts
