That is a great price. I talked to a guy about a 2 year old Beck today and he wanted $ 22,700.

Saw this at this past weekend's Concours. Don't think it's a replica though, pretty sweet if it was really at all those tracks!

Doug:

I bought mine from Jeffrey at MRE (Spyder550.com). I bought the black one that say's SOLD.

The way the silver blue one is equipped is great. I would call Jeffrey and verify options. I was under the impression it did not have the helmet pod. I did not want the pod as I thought it ruined the lines of the car.

The vehicle does not come with Porsche badges. I had mine installed by them out in cali before it was shipped to NJ. It will take some pushing to get them to do it (trademark infringments) but make sure you have it done before you get it. It is a major job to do it yourself.

The man who will hook you up with accessories is Russ at fibersteel.com. This guy has every possible part to make the car as real as possible including the original five lug wheels and the true Porsche 550 seats.

As for pricing I paid $27,800 plus it cost me $1500 to have it shipped. I used Horseless Carriage. They were by far the most reasonable. Getting a car shipped for west to east coast right now is major coin.

There is a shifter recall that has to be done before you get it. Jeffrey will take care of this. Other than that it was the best 30K I ever spent.

One other thing:

The paint sucks. I thought is was done by a high school shop class. After many hours of detailing/wheeling/compounding, it looks good. Black was a big mistake at first but know I am happy with it. The silver blue should not be as much of a problem. PM me with you e-mail and I will shoot you some pics.

Anyone get a 550 lately? I'd love some feedback from owners. I'm getting the bug to buy one for tooting around town and on the coast.

Thanks, and also if you know of any for sale in CA, let me know.

I'd be looking used, to avoid the reg hassles of a new one. Looking for a lower priced one for now, I'll get fancy/more expensive next one after I get my feet wet.
