Will Nitto NT01 315/30-18 fit on Stock wheels?

I want to get some NT01's for HPDE and want to mount them on my stock 996TT wheels, will they fit correctly on the stock wheels?

Will NT01's in 235/40-18 and 335/30-18 have similar enough rollouts to not hurt the center diff? Will they rub on stock suspension?

they will fit fine. 996's do not have a center diff.
they have two diffs. one in the rear, and one in the front.
nothing will get hurt.
they wont rub.
if you plan on doing a 335 rear, it will not fit on the stock 11" rim properly.

Thanks for the reply. I meant 315 instead of 335.

What about the psm and abs? I can't find the rollout of NT01's in those sizes, I imagine they are within the allowed 4% difference.

PSM and ABS will work absolutely fine with a 235/315 set up. this is the OEM set up on the gt2. you will have no issues whatsoever with anything.

I run that size on my GT2 wheels 8.5 and 12"- looks and drives fantastic.

I ordered the tires but I forgot to have them heat cycled. They will be installed on Thursday and my track day is Friday.

What air pressures should I start out with? Should I scrub them in Thursday? Do these tires behave very differently to PS2's on the track?

I didn't HC mine either and they were a bit slippery my first time out. I've read to break them in a bit before beating them it might help them last longer. On my TT I went for 32-34 hot and that seemed to be my sweet spot. Realized these will build pressure quick so monitor after each run.

Let us know what you think. I just ordered a new set 245,305 for my 18" wheels on the GT3. Great that you can drive these to the track as well.

That's what I run. You'll love the 245/40 with the 305/35/18. Much better than the 315/30/18s. Better grip, less rollover, just plain better all around.

This was not my experience. When initially mounted the 315s had no rubbing, but under load they rubbed the inner fender liners (discovered after the first track day). This necessitated a 7mm spacer and correspondingly longer wheel studs for safe fitment.

As far as the 305s go, you are talking a 4% diameter difference F/R which is more than the recommended 3% max to prevent differential damage and ABS/PSM issues. The setup is fine for a GT2 with no AWD differential, but questionable for a TT.

Be really careful. you will hate the tires. I ran new R888s at a track day last summer. Super Greasy for the first 3 sessions. Was pushing bad and lighting up traction control constantly. They HAD been heat cycled (tire rack) but had only run about 100 miles on the street. I later read that the release agents take about 500 miles of driving to burn through. Was much better the last run, and next DE day was fine.

Great thread OP, I am also wondering if my R888s will fit on my stock 18" stock (8" fronts and 11" back) turbo wheels. I have 235 fronts and 315 rears. I love the tires, but they are noisy. I want to swap my R888s to stock wheels just for track days and put quieter tires on my FIKSE wheels for normal driving.

I'll try to put 2-300 miles on them Thursday. Hopefully they will have traction on Friday. Any suggestions for starting cold pressures?

I'm running R888's in those (GT2) sizes on my stock turbo rims. Was fine per installer, which was a Toyo retailer. Toyo website probably has rim size ranges.

Boys are watching me type this and have asked me to "put in a face." So here's a face ....

Starting at 25 psi cold (or 30 psi warm on freeway) all around gets me to ~ 36F / 38R
