High Energy Discharge Ignition Coils

I have found these offered by EVOMS and BBI. Does anyone have information as the the pro's and con's of this product with the two companies?

Is there another company who also offers this product?

ProEFI offers coils, here's the description:
ProEFI’s Lightning coil is a smart coil with an output of 105 millijoules at 12volts! These coils have been used on 8 cylinder engines making over 3500hp! The coil kit comes with the coil, plug, and pins.
NEW! ProEFI has just released it’s H.O. Lightning Coil. This coil has an output of 210millijoules at 12volts!
IIRC, MegioN & prodigymb are both using the ProEFI Ignition Coils.

Are you not using a M880? If so run a Motec cdi/8 with ford mustang two wire coils, you can get the connector from summit cheap. I never had a misfire and I use standard plugs. Never one single issue. I run E85 and may even try m1 this summer.

Thats how I mount mine. Yes there is a coil that has the connector off the side instead of straight out like I have.

Coils are somewhere in the 300-350 range I think. Talk to Garth about that one. I use a CDI to fire the coils but there are plenty of mustangs making big power just fine without the cdi box. When road tuning my junker I was in .68 lambda and it was still not misfiring on E85, with the CDI of course.

ProEfi will fire any coil. With external igniters or without. Will that coil have enough vs their own I dont know.

Given that CJVs build is a no expense spared full kill build I would go with the Motec CDI to complement his Motec M880 just like Tim said. The ford coils are nice and small, dont need brackets too.

I use the bigger of the 2 available ProEfi H.O coils on my car mounted remotely.
