All in all good to see IC pricing trends leaning towards reality, though I do disagree that every aftermarket cooler is better than stock -there's one core I wouldn't put anywhere near my car. You can find it for sale cheap all over ebay.

In other IC news, I just got my hands on a set of Champion Gen 2.5 coolers for testing. More to follow on that!

Yes you are right about that some of those intercoolers are junk and are not better then stock on quality/reliability....
When I made my statement about any being better then stock,,I was referring to cooling effect,, not quality / reliability..

if you want cheap good quality 3.5 IC's check out Wagnertuning.de

i got my set a few months ago

contact the owner via the web page and you will get a great deal mine cost 1000 euro delivered to Australia.

wagner tuning specialise in intercoolers so they cannot be bad.

Im very very happy with mine work really well with my k16 billets huge improvement over the 996 gt2 i had before easy to install and come with nice silicon pipes as well.

I doubt you will get better at the price.

Good luck

Here is a better web site link: http://www.wagner-tuning.com/PORSCHE...-Kit_p_11.html

Looks interesting for sure! Great price with hoses if the quality is good. Anyone try these? I see they are in Fresno,,,

Earl, let's see a test!

Nice! Good to see some more options coming to the market. Hopefully this will also keep pricing more realistic.

I did quite of bit research on this. I decided on 997.2 IC as an interim solution. Most likely will move up to Forge Motorsport later this year

+1 on the gt2rs/997.2 intercoolers. If you're handy with a dremel and love a good project, this is a fun and satisfying one.

They really do compare well to many of the well-made all-aluminum intercoolers. The gt2rs uses them, and it makes 1.6bar of boost!

You can find them for around 800-1000 used, or 1300 new from porsche. They fit right into the factory hoses too.

And they are extremely lightweight, about 15-20lbs lighter than the typical 3.5 or 4.5" all metal ICs...
