Who has driven the Nurburgring?
Who has driven the Nurburgring?
On Top Gear right now Clarkson is trying to get an S Type diesel Jag around in 10 minutes or less! Why he picked that car is beyond me.
Anyway that place looks so awesome just pay your 14 Euro's and anyone can take a lap.
Local guy says he comes every day!
I have to do this one day!

Yes, been there quite a few times.
I've driven several cars I own there including a 993RS, an Alpina BMW Estate and also my Ruf'd GT2.
I've also done a four day driving course there to learn every part of the track in sections, which includes walking parts of the circuit (thats amazing since it really shows how hilly it is, I parked in the Caroussel once and just opening the door on the right is a real effort as the car sits at about 40 degrees).
I've also been there three times to watch the 24hours race, which uses the GP circuit and Nordschliefe.
It is a phenomenal place, the memories of which will remain forever to anyones who's been and the holy grail of Porsche Track enthusiasts.
As said it's simply a pay-per-lap price (you can buy multi-tickets or even an annual pass) and then drive.
You can book big courses where they provide the cars etc, or just turn up in a rental...............
There's always lots of Brits there, last time I was there we almost outnumbered the Germans......

Buddy, it is truly incredible, and it could never happen in the U.S. because of liability issues. I've only driven it it rental cars (I hope Hertz doesn't read this), one time with my mother in the backseat. I've been a passenger once in a P car. What's particularly wild is that there are motorcycles and sometimes tour buses on it at the same time. The Germans bring their famililes and picnic at the more "interesting" curves.
I have driven around 100 rounds on the ring with my old carrera and now with the turbo. It´s amazing. You don´t know your car if you haven´t driven it on the nurburgring.
Many users of my forum drive regulary there and its like a craze. If you drive it once you have to come back.
The "ring" is the home for your porsche.

I might have posted this before, sorry if I did. With my car last month on the 'Ring. Sabine lives on the 'Ring and has done over 15000 laps. She sure knows the track...Personally, I do not find her attractive
other than while driving.
