Opinons on clutch noise
Opinons on clutch noise
Clutch works fine.
Only after driving a ways and "warming up" do I get this noise.
I can feel the noise in the pedal also, if that makes any sense.
the recording is car totally off
Any ideas?

Sorry to laugh, but haha - sounds like grandpas rocking chair. Actually a clear audio recording!
What is your clutch setup? stock or aftermarket? How does the pedal feel - gritty or smooth but with noise. How many miles on the clutch setup?
My clutch felt 'gritty' or a slight binding/rubbing feel a few months ago - no sound or performance issues. Turned out the I needed to replace the throwout bearing, needle bearings, did the guide tube while in there as well...but mine is an aftermarket setup.

It's a cm stage 3 I think with stock flywheel.
About 25k on it, no slipping at spent most of its life at 1.1 bar on 24/26 turbos.
I don't know how to describe it. I felt it before I realized it was making the sound.
I don't think my accumulator is as strong as a new one. I get about 12 or 13 pumps before it gets hard. But when I turn the car on, it softens up right away.
The engagement point on the pedal is high and has been the last 15k I've owned the car. Makes it a little tricky.
I don't notice a random engagement like some say.
I have an accumulator I bought a couple months ago.
I read some threads regarding some needle bearing going dry.

If you park the car for a couple of days and the clutch is easy upon first start the accumulator is good. If it's hard and becomes easy after the motor starts, it's bad. Noise or roughness felt through the clutch that changes as the pedal is depressed is a TO bearing. Noise all the time when the motor is running and the clutch pedal is fully out is usually not clutch related as all components, flywheel, PP, disc are turning together. It could be a pilot bearing or trans related.
Based off that info I'd say it's to bearing related. But it isn't consistent.
At then when the noise starts, it's at the bottom of the pedal travel and slowly climbs as I drive.
Any detriment to just let it go until it becomes a problem?
