Spark plug choice with tune...

Should I run a colder plug? Any thoughts on which to run?

I'm also seeing the plugs being pre gapped anywhere from .30 to .44. .44 seems like a ton.

what he said. my tuner gaps them at .22 i had dense double platinums in the car and he was confused why anyone would run platinum plugs on a turbo car. he wants the best conductor of electricity possible and thats copper. they don't last as long but they were 18$ vs 80$ for the dense plugs. he said just change them with the oil change

Well they have worked Flawlessly for many hard miles on my car with my 18g set-up.
Todd from Protomotive and Markski all recommend them and run them, as others do to in the PCA group..

I guess it all boils down to each his own..

everyone has their own preference and certainly the ngk7's will work as well.( if not maybe as long as others(?)

but you would be hard to go wrong or find fault with the factory plug for gt2rs/997tt etc. many knowledgeable folks run these for tuned 996t's and the'yre good up to 600whp+ they're pre gapped, just put em in. worked for me. also, even the older bosch gt2 plug is fine FR6LDC. you can find the dpp332 cheaper maybe but that's it below.

i think we're at similar power levels? and at 500-550 ish it's hard to second guess stuttgart so i run oem stuff whenever i can. though i might someday opt for the spend on those fancy ( 900?!$) bbi coils. i have a feeling they are some bang for the buck. but up to 550whp? bosch plugs n coils, all the way.

I bet I'm something around 500whp, EVOMS stg2.(GIAC 1.2bar tune, Milltek, etc)...excited to try out new EPL 91oct track/conservative tune once I get around to putting in the injectors and wastegates! Might do the 18G upgrade next year, and call it quits at that point, usable on track...
I agree if OEM parts fits in the design parameters of what you want from the car, then its hard to go wrong with, and what I go for
Cheers,
