What a weekend. Had some major issues. Clutch completely failed the day before TI on the dyno. Overnighted a High HP Protomotive clutch (which held like a champ) to T1 Race in Dallas and my guy Mark from DriverSource installed it on Friday by 3pm and I was able to make a couple test passes. Last year I was trapping 162. This year I trapped a best 174.82. We almost fried my ECU as my battery died in the middle of a retune flash but it recovered itself on a second attempt with Jared and Betim's help from BBI. Thank you Will Dugas for the generator and Kong for the Battery tender. I really like the competition in the 170's but I didn't get to run anyone that I wanted except Ginger's 1400hp Shelby. I really did well against Roberts Black 1300whp Lambo and Cranberry's 1600hp GTR. I'm happy with the little Pcar that continues to get faster and faster. I was able to beat Ginger's Shelby a couple times and Chris Johnson 1300hp Lexus. Kong (BBi car) and I ran together both on really low settings trapping 163/164 ish. Big thanks to Ainslie (4080), Robert (Whereitsat) and Rob Roberts (Zr1) for the support. I was really happy with the way Cam's (CRR) car performed as well, he was trapping 169mph. Thanks to BBI, Protomotive, Nitrous Express, Bill Rader Motorsports, Drivers Source, Amber Nall Realtor, Sunbelt Advertising and Carnan Properties.

Can you explain about trap speed? I am trying compare to our results but cant, we doing from stand still. So question is in what kind of way trap speed will be higher, from stand still or from rolling?

 

trap speed is a hard thing to gauge with this event even though a lot of people get caught up talking about it.Since there is a "green" box that is a few hundred feet long in which the participants can be started at any point (there is a light which is triggered green by a staff member when he feels the two cars are next to each other or red if they are not)and the start mph can vary by as much as ten.For example with my Porsche i would like to be in 2nd at 55mph (its regeared)when rolling in the box.If the light went green later in the box my trap could vary by as much as ten mph or more.
