Unhappy Car problems
I have a 996tt with stage 1 ecu and fvd exhaust w/the cat bypass and just recently my car started hesitating, stalling, and now backfiring. What the f*** is up. I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same problems and can tell me whats wrong. Thanks

Probably a bad MAF.

Could also be spark plug related, depending on the MY of your TT?

definately sounds like plugs, could be the MAF, but I was under the impression those are throwing a CEL.


Really hard to diagnose this stuff w/o seeing the car. But those are two great places to start.

My car stalls out some times when I go in reverse.
And I have the Check engine light.
code come up 491 & 492

find a scanner and pull up the codes
