The Kuhmo Ecsta SPT that I have are summer street tires but they are fine for me to learn on at the track.

Early this morning I did a Durametric logging (3rd gear pull at WOT to redline) and the power is incredible! That is the good news. The bad news is that I definitely noticed clutch slip
Does anyone have any recommendations on a Porche repair center in Western North Carolina? The local Porsche dealer is mod/track friendly but I know they will still be $$$.

Also what do you recommend that I get done while getting the new clutch?
I do not plan on tracking the car more that several times a year.
Below are my thoughts so far:
*Sach 2.5 or Clutchmasters uprated clutch
*Coolant line pinning
*Check flywheel, Go with OEM if new flywheel is needed.
*I already replaced the water pump (preventative only) and coolant last month

Thanks,
Jim

Sachs Motorsport 764 PP / 997GT3RS 4.0 disc / 964RS LWFW or stock DMFW. Know what you're buying. Stage 2.x is a marketing gimmick used by vendors. No such designation exists from Sachs.

Just wanted to give an update.

I went back to a slightly milder tune and my stock clutch holds fine with a 3rd gear pull. There is still plenty of smooth power and I am happy

The quote for my updated clutch is $$$ since I plan to do other work during that time. Believe it or not when I get it done I plan to use the local dealer as they are mod/track friendly and give me a nice discount.
They will let me source the Sach 2.5 clutch kit saving me their mark up.
Their procedure is to drop both the engine & transmission so I will get other work done including replacing the coolant hoses.

To me it is more important upgrade my 13 year old stock suspension (Bilstein PS10) and do my clutch later.

I plan on doing the coolant line pinning DIY before taking the car back to the track.

Jim
