Thoughts on this TT guys
Best of luck, I bought an 02 with 16k miles in immaculate condition with some desirable updates for less than the dealer is asking here, but not much. The nice low mileage mostly stock ones with full history do cost more and for some buyers they are worth it.
I plan to use the car as an all weather daily driver, so low miles or perfection or even upgrades for that matter aren't that important to me.
solid mechanicals and decent appearance are my primary concerns.

Best of luck with the search!
Porsche made a lot of these, so if you don't mind buying from afar you should be able to get a nice one. All the brown I have seen has been away from the northeast.
If you are set on brown that will limit the options quite a bit. I like White/Brown(tan) myself. The one I noted above is a dark blue interior that looks almost black so that probably won't work for you.

I'm definitely ok limiting my options. Realistically, if this car sold, I'd probably abandon the idea of a 996TT. I still very much like my mercedes so if I get a 996 tt, it will be the one I want exactly. This car is great because the silver is DD friendly and the brown appeals to my snooty side. Plus my 993TT is black on black so I'm kind of over that.

hmm, that car looks nice, although the front bumper looks a bit beat. Definitely something to consider.
What is all the junk in front of the shifter above the batwing? built in radar or something?
thanks.

ok, so the car sold at auction for $41,000 according to the dealer (grain of salt).
will be hanging onto the benz as the dealer who bought it won't want to take a loss on it for at least 6 months.
been fun gents, enjoy your turbos.
