The good, the bad, and the ugly
The Good
I'm taking advantage of having the engine out the car to upgrade the clutch to the 964RS LWFW/764PP/GT3RS 4.0l disc set-up...
And replacing the stock transmission mount with the stiffer 997 version...
A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to acquire a brand new old stock X73 suspension kit (motor mounts and all)....
The Bad
The reason I have the engine out is to repair the faulty coolant fitting that gave way...
I chose to go the welded route for the coolant fitting repair...
The Ugly
Rather than pay for a rental car to sit in my driveway, I've decided to use the local public transportation for my minor travel needs...
Good times....good times....
Let's just say, I can't wait to get my car back.

You are going to love that clutch set up. I have this exact set up. Superb driveability, zero chatter and virtually no extra noise over stock. If you still have the stock power assist I would highly recommend drilling and tapping the gearbox for the gt2 slave. With the engine out its only a couple of hours of labor and $500 or so in parts. Perfect time to do an LSD if you have an extra $3k burning a hole in your pocket. Well worth it for probably the best performance mod you can do on these cars.

I considered the GT2 slave mod, but decided to just replace the stock turbo slave and accumulator with new parts, per UMW Kevin's recommendation.
Thanks, Sam. I have high hopes for the X73 kit.

Order the parts.
Wait for the parts.
Rinse and repeat.
My shop isn't the quickest. But it's one of the best.
In the words of Maude Lebowski, "He's a good man, and thorough".
I'm really hoping it's this week. But I've said the same thing the last three weeks.
