55k with low miles especially if its stock= you will pay for a good car with records and a clean ppi. Don't go by what others have paid unless they are clear on condition and repairs needed after purchase etc.
I'm pretty sure they all need some repairs after purchase lol
Make sure you have a PPI performed and have the PCCB rotors closely inspected. They can easily chip if someone is careless changing a wheel, If you have to replace them, they are $5K per side.
Mine didn't need repairs and had complete records= I pay up front when ever possible. The cheap cars bought are usually followed with multiple posts of problems and repairs. I'm not pointing fingers just offering advice to help.

I am a newbie but agree with wolf. I paid about $44 for an 01 with 10k and needed coils, master slave and soon after a MAF (this one couldn't be determined before hand). I think I still got a great deal and have roughly $47k wrapped up before anything additional. I would think low $50's is more than acceptable.
I think everyone can chime in on threads like this and give a crazy story about how low they paid, but I wouldn't consider that of any value other than it was a great buy for you.
If you had to sell your car in the near future, would you sell for $40k?
It'd be silly to do so, as $40k is quite undervalued for that car unless there were known issues.
