what are the little slots on the roof?

They have a door that opens with screws inside. What's that for?

They are there for a roof rack

Plastic screws are there to prevent gunk build-up when not in-use with a roof rack, and are probably now frozen in there..lol

So if you remove those screws do the entire slims little panels come off? I'm asking because I'm about to wrap the car. Those long pieces off would be a good help

panel just flips out of the way. If I remember right the screws just keeps the holes from plugging up since the rack base has to screw into those holes.

You can remove those completely (the rain gutters) they’re held in by clips. However, removing the plastic screws under the flaps won’t help, they literally sit there to keep the treads clean.
