For those that have done the under car installation, how hard would it be to install without access to a lift? I only have a floor jack.

Easy. I did mine with a floor jack at the left rear , lifting car high enough to put a jack stand under the left rear cross member . Use wheel chocks in front of left front tire and behind right rear tire before crawling under car from the rear . DO NOT GO UNDER ANY CAR WITHOUT JACKSTAND AND CHOCKS !!!
Only " special " tools you need are T55 Torx bit, 4mm hex key or bit and everyday tools . The 2 cable end socket joints are easily popped off their ball joints by prying with either a big wide flatblade screwdriver or one of those angled /pronged screwdriver sized door panel pop-off tools, which I have. There are two cables back there. the upper one is the selector and is not changed in it's position. The bottom one is the shifter cable and the one whose pivot point is changed by this kit's aluminum block.
These kits are basically a 3"x2 " drilled piece of aluminum that clamps to the tranny shifter arm to change the cable pivot and a new bracket to move that shifter cable slightly outboard.
Probably $10 dollars worth of parts , asking $$$ by some vendors. Yeah , I know .... " R&D " costs...

Here's a pic of this kind of kit in this thread : Pic of B&M undercar SSK
