I recently had the pleasure of working with Chris at Unobtainium welding to design a titanium exhaust for my car. I had wanted one of his exhausts ever since I bought my 996tt, because I think the slant cut tips look amazing on these cars. However due to the fact that he is a very busy person I had went with another exhaust because I knew that I could get it quicker. For some reason the exhaust I got didn't capture me the way that Chris's design did. So I decided to reach out to Chris figuring now that I am not in a rush, however long it takes it wont be that big of a deal. While talking with Chris I had the crazy idea of seeing if he could make one of out titanium for me. Chris told me that he's been wanting to do one for some time, and we came to an agreement on price, which was more than fair for the amount of work and craftsmen ship that went into this work of art. Chris was a pleasure to work with and all my questions and concerns were answered in a timely fashion. His work is truly a work of art, and for a while I had contemplated hanging this on the wall in my garage rather than on the car. These are some of the progress pics that Chris updated me with while the exhaust was getting built.
Weather around me was crappy when I finally got the exhaust shipped to me, roads were sanded and salted. Recently though it has warmed up and we got plenty of rain which cleared up the roads nicely. I was able to get it to my fathers garage to utilize his lift plus its where all my tools are! Installation was a piece of cake and everything aligned perfectly. No fitment issues at all. I have a bunch of pics from the installation I will post later, I am having issues getting them from my go pro.
I would personally like to thank Chris for doing this project for me. I'm sure that it challenged him but he really did an exceptional job. I do not have one complaint at all, he's been superb to work with, my only regret is that I didn't go with my instinct in the first place. Those of you looking for a quality built exhaust should look no further!
Two quick videos I am working on getting some more, however may be a bit as the winter weather seems to be back.
I think that is the best looking exhaust out there at this time. Not just with the weld job but also the fitment and tips are a perfect fit (IMHO) for the rear opening. I just bought and installed the Kline 3" Xpipe but still love that exhaust.
I went stainless and Chris will be working on mine soon. He has been a pleasure to work with and his prices for the Ti system are beyond fair IMO but stainless makes the most sense for my use. I'm really looking forward to having one of my own! Congrats on a sweet system, more vids please!!
Do you notice with the full titanium exhaust considerably less drone? From my understanding titanium and thickness can play a huge roll, besides the usual x pipe and mufflers.......

Chris explained to me that the tone would be different but the tubes he's using to cancel the drone still work. Obviously hearing it from a customer would be good!
I'm interested in overall noise factor. Does this end up really loud but no drone or reasonable? There's no muffling so am a little concerned since I'm coming up in the line. I want to be able to hear myself and while my existing system drones like mad it's at least quiet(ish) when not trying to beat me over the head. My neighbors also might not like me having another flat motor car rumbling around
Very Very interested in owner's impressions and any dB readings. Listened to the videos on YouTube, very nice music!

I didn't drive it for a long time after install but there really isnt any drone at all from what I noticed. I cant comment on titanium vs stainless as I havent been exposed to a stainless one first hand. I don't feel its that loud, it has a nice aggressive tone when on the throttle but once its warmed up idle noise is minimal.
Whoa, congrats Mike! Can't wait to see/hear your car and this insane exhaust system in the spring! Truly is a work of art and sounds fantastic! BTW, I like the new vanity plate!
this looks and sounds amazing. what does one of tehse go for $ ?
I am not going to disclose what I paid, it being the first titanium one he built he offered to good of a deal to me that I couldn't pass up. You can email him for a quote unobtainiumwelding@gmail.com
i am absolutely in love with these exhaust systems. with that said this is the first i have seen that hangs below the bumper. is it the install or due to the size of the piping?
I noticed the same and anxious to hear. I have the Kline 3" so it doesn't have to be due to the piping size since mine really isn't visible. Would think maybe due to that extra piping that is capped off? I am sure it is designed with that extra piping for a reason.

Those dead-end pipes are what Chris uses to kill the dreaded drone! They're measured to knock down a specific frequency of sound, yay math! It's explained better than I could in another thread.
