Spirited Drive, sour ending ...

Was on my way home from dinner when I pulled up behind an older Turbo (pre- 94), he was trying to lose me but couldn't, after 10 mins of effort I came across a point where there were no cars and an opportunity to pass ... I could only imagine the look on his face when a newer generation turbo passes him up ... I would have been ecstatic ...

I had to slow down at the toll, which was my exit, and he pulled up along side with a HUGE grin on his face giving me a thumbs up over and over again but unfortunately caught up in the moment and looking over he scraped the wall to his left ... I felt sooo bad, but he continued to thumbs up and smile ...

I love Porsche Enthusiasts

Cheers,
Dario

I'd be in on that too! The Tollway is a blast to drive on when there is no traffic. Gotta watch out for those damn DPS cars though!

Dario, you back in town? I'll be working alot these next two-three weeks, but after that how 'bout we make a MSR run? BTW Andi (you met him at car show) just got his C6 Z06 and it is apparently a beast.

I'll call you or you call me.

BTW sorry about the guy's car and glad he wasn't hurt. Old skewl P-Car prolly hurt the wall more than the wall hurt it.

Was at the Chevy dealer today buying some work trucks and a black Zo6 was there looking good, the guy bought it 3 weeks ago but is sooo picky about his shipping company that he can't choose one, his car is collecting dust with fingerprints all over it

Can't wait to ride in a car first hand, my shift cable linkage thinga-magigy broke tonight on my way home on a date, pretty embarassing having to coast to a gas station while my shifter feels like a limp **** ... oh well, 1-800-Porsche in the morning ...

this will be my first trip (tow) to the dealer outside of warranty

Dallasites seem to be growing in numbers on the board, we definately need to get a group together ...

Dario

If you ever saw the races I had with my old GR Turbo and Andi's Supra, they were pretty cool. I pulled two, he pulled two. However, Chris Turner now only links one pull where I mis-shifted and it looks like Andi ripped me badly, but fact is, I let off after missing the 2-3 and instead grabbed fifth gear. Next time I see Chris Turner, I'll have to tell him to post all runs or post none. If you see him, pls pass this on to him.

Andi and I have both given up street racing- penalties have become too stiff. A few years ago, you got a ticket. Today, it's a felony which means loss of my medical license. Maybe we'll try some pulls at the dragstrip or the ranch.

Also, Andi is putting about 480hp/460TQ to the wheels. I don't think my car, which is still stock, would stand a chance. BTW, according to a reputable source, the Corvette "Blue Devil" is confirmed, with 650hp from the factory.

Maybe sat nite we all go for a drive? I'll call Andi. Dario, you down? Think car will be fixed for sat nite?

I'm game if you guys ever want to meet up! I haven't met many Porsche guys around here at all. Andi sounds familiar. Did he have a gray Supra back in the day? I'm sure I've met some of you guys before. I used to street race all the time in my Vipers back before the brilliant law makers decided that it is as bad as shooting someone. I guess it worked though!
