2 New Front Radiators under Extended Warranty
2 New Front Radiators under Extended Warranty
HI,,In the last year I have had an frequent antifreeze smell.
The Dealer could never find it because they said they didn't see any leaks or smell anything ,, I think they only checked rear those times..I do have a great sense of smell though.
The other day Markski was data logging my car and he noticed it also on the outside..Mark went right to the front and said its from there..The dealer must have never checked the front out..
Well 50,000 miles on my 2004,,bought it with 10,000.
Brought it to dealer today and they said they both side radiators had slight leaks.
And my extended warranty is going to pay ,,that warranty has paid for its self several times over..
...
After Nov 2015 it will get expense without one..

I bought it in 11/09 after the one from Porsche expired,,paid around 3600 from an aftermarket company back then...
Just replaced all 3 radiators in my 03 with 130K miles on it. Was back in the mid-west and in single digit temps and the contraction and expansion the many bitterly cold days took out all 3 radiators. Had i left the car in CA it probably would have been fine.
Be glad you have a warranty. Replacing the 3 radiators at a Porsche dealer cost me $4300.
BTW, up to you but you might consider replacing the center radiator just because the tech is "there", but get a firm quote to know what the parts/extra labor cost (if any) will be.
