My GT2
My GT2
There is a bit of a story on this car, my eighth Porsche. A client of ours purchased this car new in 2002 at a cost of $AUD 415,000, he took me for a spin in it. I had a highly modified 930 at the time which had 396hp at the back wheels and I always remember how smooth the GT2 was. Anyway, the original owner went on a Government sponsored holiday and the car dissapeared. About 2 years ago the car popped up on the market in Melbourne and another client of ours purchased it and brought it back to Perth. This is the only Porsche I know this guy to have purchased second hand as he always buys new. He kept the car for about a year and then decided to change all his cars again. So I bought it as a Christmas present for myself. The car had travelled only 10,900km and was as close to new as you would ever see, the interior had the factory carbon accessories fitted and yellow seat belts to match the calipers. I have always modified my cars to give them that personal touch, however being a GT2 I am a but reluctant from a purists point of view. Maybe I am getting old! Having said that I did remove the front bumper, clean out the radiators and install the protective mesh from Rennline. I have also put the original wheels in storage and replaced them with a set of OZ Allisomething wheels and a applied a few decals. Nothing that can't be swapped back easily.

Yes, not many of these Australian delivered GT2's in Australia. I only know of this one and a Zanzibar Red one in perth. The other car is a track flogged mess now.
