The Barbaric 996TT Build
I have pretty much the exact same 340mm wheel made by Techart with Red stitching and Techart embossed logo on Airbag.... still brand new in the box ..
I have it listed here on 6speed... PM if your interested in purchasing.
(BTW, stitching on wheel can be dyed in any color)
Holy thread resurrection Batman!
Just read the whole thing, lovely looking car and a great build!
One thing though - did the you need to have the engine dropped after a few heat cycles to re-torque the head studs?

If the proper alloys are used, I don't see why this is such a common topic. When you buy a new Porsche, does anyone drop an engine and retorque? Do dealerships bed in the brakes before test drives? Are the cars properly aged before paint sealants or such applied? I bet most people don't even short cycle the first oil change on dealership bought cars.
Yes, these are rhetorical questions and NOT meant towards the person asking the question.
The engine is running very well as is and the boost levels have been kept in check as detuned for street use and pump gas to 780rwhp. She is really a Jekyl and Hyde outside the clutch and exhaust note it can be driven as almost stock or unleashed to throw fire and be a little raunchy.
It now lives back in the states after a little $7500 tariff. OUCH.
