The Barbaric 996TT Build
I will definitely not be pushing it it's limits anytime soon . I haven't driven my car in a long time .. Gotta get the hang of things again and now it's going to be 3x faster lol.
I'm hope everything workout well for you too brother ..
aaahhh, so this is your car! I saw it a few times at Undercover, and was pointing out some of the parts I want on the car Im having them build
Nicely done, Im jealous. Cant wait to see it running

Merry Christmas everyone .
So I picked up my car on Christmas Eve and drove her back home just in time to celebrate with my family.
I spent a full week at Undercover giving the guys a hand to get the car finished up and going.. The outcome was great and I am pleased .
Car make about 680whp on pump and a little more on e85 with the mustang dyno.
We weren't able to tune to its full potential, as we where have a Crank Sensor problem after 6k RPM. The Tial 3073 worked like a charm, they truly have no lag with my setup, they where coming on hard at 3200rpm.
Car feels great, literally drives and feels like a stock car, until ur in boost. I'm glad it worked out that way, because it would give me the opportunity to get use to the car since it's now a RWD and I haven't driven the car in 9 months .
I gotta say... I'm really pleased with the ERP clutch with its drivability and engagement point.. So far so good and I'm crossing my figures .
The CEA shifter is a game changer with these cars, I am so impressed with it, and would recommend it to anyone.

WHOAH!!!!
The fittings on your E85 sensor, did you keep those?! They don't have retention clips and they have the plastic guts! Those look to be the problem units that FAIL. I ordered a set and as soon as I saw them I knew they would be trouble and ordered a different set that's got clips and is all metal. Sure enough I began hearing about them failing. IF those are on there seriously consider removing them for something more secure. At the VERY least I'd loop some zip ties around the fitting and the sensor body so if they come loose they cannot pop completely off. I'm sure others can attest, if those are the ones I think they are they can be a serious issue

Hardmotorsports sells them.
Only problem I'm having is putting the car in reverse . I think the stock cables are too short and would need to purchase the CAE cables .

Thanks for the advice .
I'm running the same fittings off my flex fuel sensor with no issues. They are very hard to get on and you need to make sure are fully seated but the clip and o-ring seal seem to make a solid connection.
BLKMGK - what all aluminum fittings are you talking about? Have a link?
OP - awesome build by the way!!!!

I keep meaning to take a picture of mine, I'll try tonight or tomorrow. I have a set that's all metal, no plastic guts, and they have retaining clips. Russell has had issues and apparently did a redesign but may still sell the old style too.
Hopefully this comes out.
Can't easily rotate it on my iPad. It's an Earl's piece, all metal fingers inside and you can see the hook to retain the hose.
An issue when under pressure is the fingers letting go and the hose popping off spraying fuel EVERYWHERE. If it hits something hot you look like the Challenger pdq. At the very least I'd use zip ties to try and retain the hose on the body of the sensor so if it lets go it can't go far or lose as much fuel.
I've lost a car to a fuel leak and nearly lost a second when a press-in fitting for an aic let go, thankfully on a cold start with the hood up. When I saw the Russell piece that looked like the one above there was no way I was trusting it and a few mins of googling found folks who found out the hard way. Just trying to look out is all...
P.S. There are TWO types of Russell quick fits, one has a screw on cap and is their redesigned piece. It's supposed to be good but supposedly the bad ones are also still out there. http://www.jegs.com/p/Russell/Russel...19594/10002/-1
