Quote: Ouch, I knew the ProEFI tweaked the gas gauge to solve an issue with proper readings but never know that under a 1/4 it estimated instead of giving real readings - that could indeed be an issue for a big injector car! Going to have to watch that myself I fear, cannot wait to get this project going...
Well the estimation seems to affect even stock ECU cars, the issue is just more pronounced when running bigger injectors.

Quote:
C4, C4S or TT cars use a "saddle bag" gas tank and the sensor is only on one side. So one side of the tank is "estimated" on the fuel gauge - based on the a specific amount of fuel in the tank at calibration time.
If you lose that calibration setting by disconnecting the battery (with a low tank) the tank/cluster has no guess as to remaining fuel and MUST be re-calibrated.

its not just the one side is estimated. they are both estimated, because the level floater doesn't go low enough and is above the hump..

That's the place, I've yet to find anything else close by that's even half-decent. Another month and that won't be an issue, but its still a bit cold in the mornings

I've always wondered how tuners can do an honest tune without a wideband and just send you a flashed ecu in the mail. Seems like such a crap shoot with you're motor.

^factory front O2 sensor is a Bosch wideband, but know what you're getting at...a good tuner goes back and forth with you...
