From the looks of it the white plastic piece is not swappable?
Ill remove the quick shift tomorrow and have a new look and see if there is any way to fix this.
No, the plastic piece is not sold separately.

Do a search.... here is the latest issue and certainly not the first.. I agree with others, the B&M is not a very good choice. I had one on my car years ago and it was the worst of the lot. I've driven just about all of them and my order of shifter preference is PMNA Cup, 997.2GT3, 997.1GT3, 997SSK. Add Cup cables to it and you have shifter nirvana... Porsche engineers are not total idiots, they actually make pretty good stuff from time to time (coolant pipe glue notwithstanding....) There are many choices out there around the same $450-600 price point. Choose wisely....

Exaclty. Fill that recess to make it flush again and it will eliminate almost all of the side to side play.

But all the Shifters you are mentioning have the same plasticpiece that wear out.
All the shifters including my b&w has a steel rod connected to the plastic piece in the picture in my picture above, so they will wear out.
997.2gt3 is the best imo as it has steel/nylon ends in the north/south part, but still when moving the stick right left you will eventually wear out the mentioned plastic piece on all those shifters right?

I've never seen that plastic piece wear out on any of the GT3 or cup shifters. Maybe they are made of a harder material or the excess wear may be caused in your case by the metal aftermarket B&W parts. The 997SSK, 997.1GT3, 997.2GT3, and the 996Cup shifters have more metal parts in them in that order, 997SSK the least, 996Cup the most.

Numeric is all metal, spherical bearings, a little brass.

I'd do the JBWeld, heat it to make it flow better with a hairdryer - that stuff flows like water if you warm it enough and should nearly self level!
