i have a tech that i snagged from the local porsche speed tuner so i wouldn't/couldn't get fkn lied to all the time. it's a lot easier to believe these guys when you're standing there watching the parts go on. etc.
my only hope is that jim has not found the unwizard of OZ! lol
( pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!! OZ has spoken"! lol ) it's as if we are supposed to believe everything they say. dealerships, i will say though, are the worst. but then
"most" indies do want to see you up and running as reasonably as possible. can't malign the entire bunch, as I've found some good ones. but if ever there was an opportunity for thievery and falsehoods, it's hidden somewhere in between "book time" and outright fraudulent part/labor pricing. i just popped into a vw joint to enquire about a dsg trans flush since its that weird 6spd "mechatronic" unit that needs 30k mile flushes, and they need one of those stupid bleeders and 100$ "kit" with 5 litres of fluid and a trans oil "filter", and this CLOWN quoted me 528$!!? when the local VW dealer is $300 with the fluid! which is a $100.00 fluid & filter + o-ring "kit"!
its freakin astonishing what these guys think they can get away with! rant off/.. sorry jim, i hope ira gets ya the right links ( sheesh ) and that you ultimately get the ride height you want.
bet ya didn't sign up for all this sh*t, eh?! we've all been there,.. if i ever had a point lol

and really..gl with the rest of the "tweaking" of your suspension bits. can we say "tweaking"?! without giving folks the wrong idea? crack is so 80's!

just in case u werent sure
oh, no doubt about it tim, i am admittedly a c*nt w elephantine ba**s lol.
After a few adjustments it does seem to handle a lot better. Especially now that I am within height specs and fitting front drop links supplied by Bilstein until the new Tarett ones arrive.
The wrong length links were causing the front sway bar to bind with the lower control arm, so I'm sure this would have been a major contributing factor in the way it was performing.
John pdrwhound suggested 996GT3 4 way adjustable rear sway bar. He said it is a direct bolt on and can be done under 30 minutes. And if I want more adjustment, i can install front and rear adjustable sway bars. Eibach makes a relatively cheap hollow set of sways for the 996TT.
I might look into them down the track as well but definitely not rushing into anything right now.
Has anyone does one of these two options with PSS10's, I love to hear it if you have.
New stance with 1 to 2mm higher than Bilsteins specified lowering heights.
Front is now 4mm lower and back 5mm higher than than last adjustment.
Yes they have but it might need a new wheel alignment now that I have fiddled with it.
I ur going to track regularly take hounds advise and get the four position gt3 sway bar set. FVD may have a cheaper on special set at least I think it was FVD where i saw them?
