Turbo advice

I usually do not post too much about my car. Some people know of it and others do not. I have recently maxed out my GT 3586 HTA and I am looking to upgrade in the next six months to a larger turbo. I am considering FP 6466TZ or GT3794 HTA. They both seemed to flow 90 pounds per minute. Can anybody give me pros and cons of these two turbos. I truly appreciate everyone's input
Robert

Yes, I am looking at all the Force Perfornance turbochargers. They are not that far from my house. I just need some opinions/advice to help in this decision process.

Based on our experience with a 2.3L 4G63, the hta94 will spool some 800+rpm later than an hta86 all else being equal. FP themselves state that this turbo is to be used on 40+psi applications, and I don't see a Mezger-based engine being able to rev high enough, or run enough boost, to make these a worthwhile proposition. Perhaps you'd be better off trying larger hotsides (i.e. 1.06A/R T3 or 1.03A/R Tial) to reduce backpressure and eke out a little more airflow at comparatively little expense...

Can you please tell me more details about your setup? (displacement, cams, turbo hotside, boost, fuel used, etc) PM me if you want to keep this private...

4.1L with GT 3586 HTA feed with E85 managed by Syvecs using Protomotive regrind cams. Last Dyno was around 1300 WHP at 2.1 bars. Hope this helps.

From what I understand you're currently running .63 A/R housings correct? If so I suggest you move up to the .82 housings for an extra 50-60whp or so for comparatively little cost. Spool shouldn't be affected by more than 300rpm. Your turbos are conservatively rated at 75lb/min each so you've still got some ways to go before maxing them out.

I have the .82 housing but because of Wealth Managers input, I am thinking about the Zono Rotor XR82-67. I am still waiting for more imputs from all the members.

Shoot Forced Performance a call. They can answer all your questions about the Xona Turbos. I called them the other day. They are the direct seller for Tial/Xona. They have a good amount of information on them.

No I have not. I don't know anything about comp turbo. A few 997 guys are going to Xona Turbos. Yumaverick I believe is his username is changing over he may be someone you want to talk to also. He is going to the biggest model too.

That's very great Dyno HP ## for only 2.1bar
Why you did not boost 2.5bar ? You will be in different level

Not worth the risk at that boost level......in my opinion.
