Question: How much oil do you burn?
Glad to see this, I can report zero as well, 5k under my watch . . . KH
Its not simply a matter of spraying the lube! Careful consideration needs to be given with respect to the precise delivery methodology used to apply said lube.
With or without the red tube?

Freshly rebuilt X50 from Porsche with 1200 break-in miles.
At 1200 it's within a 100 or two of needing it's 3rd qt since new motor fire-up.
Yep, we have issues and are in the process of figuring it out.

What type of break in did you do? Gently break ins often do more harm than good because the piston rings may not get properly seated resulting in high oil consumption. Every engine I've had built has gone straight to the dyno run at max boost to redline and then straight to the track. They hardly ever burn oil.
Sounds acceptable. I'm convinced those that claim extremely little to none, never check their oil. Hell, my old ladies Boxster and the Subaru I bought new use oil too. I think it's a Boxer thing. All my P cars consumed, TT or NA.
funny you should mention that. I once would check the oil randomly but frequently using the stalk at red stoplights and would race against the measurement or the stoplight going green.
more "wins" when it takes "5" seconds than when it said measurement in 10 seconds+ or car must be "stationary and level".
I'm glad I've outgrown that. was s stupid game ha
still don't drain the turbos however

the good news: same oil consumption of M1 5/50.
