Testing the n75 valve.

Testing the n75 valve.

I was told to add voltage to it to see if it opens. Is it as simple as that? Love a battery charger? Just testing mine to see if it's OK before I just blow 55$ on nothing.

I read that in your other post, sorry to hear that.
Are you thinking the high voltage might have burnt it out also.

$55 for an N75 valve will be nothing compared to what you'll have to spend if you fried your ECU.

N75 valves fail safe (air to wastegates). If you fried your N75 valve it would still be making boost pressure, just not as much as your ECU is commanding. I thought that was obvious.

If you put 12 volts directly on the valve (only two wires) you should hear a click and if you blow air at the same time through the opening (with your mouth), with power on you should be able to blow air through the valve and with power off you should not be able to blow air into the valve....Simple test....

Ya...I guess I just need tiny connectors to go to the posts inside the clip

Durametric got a function to test this valve and you can clearly hear the click....Of course this tool is on your shopping list!

You said you weren't making any boost. Are you making no boost 0.0 bar or not as much as normal?
