Quick 996tt shoot
I have some interest in potentially selling her so I went and took some shots for a prospective buyer - working on my shooting with the DSLR so figured I would post them here for critiques and maybe some enjoyment...

You asked for it! LOL.
Looks like you mastered the DSLR. Your car looks very presentable, nice color that shows very well, nice wheels, clean looking calipers, etc.
Now, you gotta work on composition a bit. You have huge distractions going on in all but the last to pics. Colored jungle gyms, basket ball standards, white lines and stuff that we don't want to see and it becomes a focal point.
Look for a good location for a back drop like an old industrial building, a park, railroad yard, construction site. Frame the car, use the rule of thirds, make your shots interesting. A great shot will add perceived value and wonderment to your car, a poor one will make your car seem uninteresting and dull.
Maybe enlist help from friends or look at pics of cars online and mimic what you find exceptional. I'm no expert but I like fooling around. Take enough shots, strive for perfection, have a plan and you are bound to get a few good ones.
Good luck to you.

I was approahed actually by someone asking if I would part with it and from owning multiple cars the answer to that question is always yes to the right price. I just resprayed the front end to fix rock chips and completed 60k mile service and bought the new wheels, wasnt planning on getting rid of her but everyone has a price.

Well I am getting more interest from this thread so might need to negotiate a little with the interested parties haha.
something like this is balanced (never mind they're Galaxy phone pics). And even here I don't like the yellow railing, it's distracting...
I agree with all of the above compositional recommendations. Also, it is about light. Shoot around dusk or in overcast soft light. The color will pop more. Look at the background first and then how the car works with it. Look at the lines, shape and form. I love my car when I see it in dusk light it glows. Try some different light and you will see what I mean.
