OBD2 Smog Readiness Tester

OBD2 Smog Readiness Tester
Can anyone recommend a obd2 plug-in tester to see the status of smog readiness? My basic Actron only reads trouble codes but not smog status. Does a Durametric provide this info?

While true in most cases, many of the auto parts stores sell OBD2 readers that will not read a Porsche..make sure to verify before purchase

Cheap and useful:
Get a OBD2 bluetooth dongle for $15 off Amazon and download the $5 Torque app.
Less cheap but more useful:
Buy the Durametric. If you are any kind of DIY-er you will love this for troubleshooting.
Even better:
Do both. Just keep the dongle in your car.

I picked up a ScanTool 426101 OBDLink MX Bluetooth from Amazon a few years back and it has paid for itself many times over. Great little device. Won't work with Apple products though, there are other models that will.

caveat: upon 2nd thought. it just says "ready" but not obd code specific, so yes, to the durametric i would think.

thats weird? i have what must be the cheapest *does very little* actron they make and i get ( or thought i did?! ) my "readiness" codes accurately. i could be mistaken, but i DID have to reset them all thru that 30mph for 10 miles, then 40mph etc. protocol ( which is not as easy as it reads! ) and i know that's all i had to tell me it was "safe" to roll into the bay. hmm,..strange...
