MAF readings at idle?

Can't seem to find the specifications for the 996 Turbo. Anyone know what the MAF readings should be in terms of Voltage and Air Flow at idle?

Also should the airflow number be pretty constant or does it fluctuate + or - 3 kg/h up and down constantly at idle?

Thanks!

MAF readings at idle?

I believe normal voltage at idle is 1.4V +-.05.
I can't recall normal air flow but it does fluctuate slightly with the voltage fluctuations.

Mine flows around 18 to 22kg/h at ~750rpm hot idle depending on conditions, fluctuation maybe 1 kg/h at most per individual log/ambient condition.
At some point, I can also log my dad's and/or neighbour's bone stock TT's if needed.

Thanks guys. Mine was fluctuating between 15 and 22. Note sure if that means there is an issue or not. Here is a screen capture...You can see it goes from 15 to 18 in under hald a second.

MAF readings at idle?

Log your air flow and voltage at wot. You might be maxing out your MAF too early. These MAFs don't read above 5V. Also, 90% of the time a new MAF will fix issues like these.

Yup, no boost leaks.

Not even sure I have a MAF problem. I just thought to log it quickly and wanted to see what the specifications are so I can compare.

MAF readings at idle?

Often, issues that don't seem to be MAF related go away when a brand new (OEM, not eBay) MAF is installed. Especially on modified cars. And since you had strange inconsistencies of boost values with the engine off when unplugging the MAP and the MAF, these would be the next places I pay close attention to.

Cool, Ya Im thinking I am going to start moving in that direction next (replace MAF and MAP). Mostly for good measure.

My boosting issue is almost 100% resolved. Im just dealing with my tuner (Scott at Softronic) on one last thing now that the car is reaching Setpoint boost values for the most part. I will update my other post when it is all sorted out.

Unplug your MAP sensor and check your gauge again? Or just swap in another MAP sensor?
