What is it with the Chicago Bentley/Lambo place?

Happened to walk in there recently (was only in town briefly).

At least four Lambos of different eras, one F430 Spider, several other F-cars, TWO GT2'S (one silver, one Lapis), and a few Bentley's.

What a bunch of stuck up snobs running that place. I got the impression all the cars were consignment, and none of the staff really gives a flip about customers who "might" buy a car in there.

What a nice load of eye candy, but I would never suggest buying there.

Pics will follow. Even though one of the asses there told us no pictures were allowed "because we have very high profile customers here"

No, he's talking about Luxury Motors (Bentley Gold Coast). Fox Valley's staff is top-notch...great people to work with.

I've been in there about six times since they opened. I was looking to buy a 996TT but they treated me like sh-t. I walked out but still go back every once an awhile to view the cool new toys when they come out like the MB SLR last year, etc. Salesmen have very little knowledge as well.

Yes, that is Luxury Motors and sometimes there Chicago inventory is even more ridiculous. Anyways the physical dealership is amazing unlike no other with bar on top. The prices are great compared to other high end dealerships and they WILL negotiate. They carry an incredible amount of cars, over 1000 in stock maybe 2000 not sure, and almost any exotic they have, even an enzo. For all the positives, you have to deal with the WORST service and the WORST salesmen. If you have the time and know your cars, you can save quite a bit of money over most dealers.

Eric, there customers are far from high profile. Everytime I pull into that dealership I see the shadiest looking people around; i cannot believe they told u that.

FYI, they are trying to go public as well. I think they need a billion dollars worth of sale and they are on there way.

when i was looking for a 996tt last month, i called Luxury about a car they had in dupont. the salesman didn't know which car i was talking about but said that he could get any color i wanted but wouldn't "progress" any more until we had agreed upon a price for a certain yr and approx mileaged car. i was dumbfounded but he wouldn't budge - got the feeling he thought i was a flake

and weren't these the guys who flipped a consigned GT2 on a joy ride???

The shadiest I saw were the employees. I wouldn't buy a tube of glue from those clowns. And you are right, they did not know **** about the cars.

But it was fun to drool on the lambo's a little.

Oh and DJ....I gave the guy your number for the 430 spider bro.

I got hosed but good by Bill Nuccio on a 98 Diablo SV.

Get this...2 years later, the salesman (who was now at another dealer) called me back to apologize for the shady treatment I received.

Fox's service and customer treatment fell far short of my expectations. I'm out about $10K because of that guy!

RE: Bentley Dealer

That dealership blows and their Luxury Motors dealership blows!!

I would never recommend anyone to buy one of their cars. Most of their cars have had damage or an interesting story to begin with. They are shady and so is their owner. There has been numerous write-ups in Chicago Crains and in Chicago Magazine in regards to the shady operation they run.

And as far as their $40,000 per year sales staff, they need a good crack in the head. I have never had a good experience in that place.
